I Love You and Want to Capture You For All Time

"I love you and want to capture you for all time." A quote from Sue Bryce, an awesome Australian photographer, who turns beautiful photographs into works of art.  The quote sums up my feelings on the importance of having your picture taken frequently. The photo I shared is from my sisters wedding reception 3.5 years ago. A joyous occasion, all guests had a fabulous time. Great celebration, food, drinks, music, joking, laughing and dancing. Me, at the time a non-professional photographer, always with my camera, had to capture everyone in photos. Tragically, not a full week later, one of the young attendees of the reception passed away. The overwhelming shock and sadness felt by everyone hits me as I write this post. The picture of him with his brother that day is a permanent memory one of the happiest/saddest moments I have ever photographed. A memory of a happy time spent together with someone we love dearly, yet a reminder that was the last time most of us saw him. I can't share that picture at this time because it's heart breaking. The photo I've shared is my mom, 4 remaining aunts, my sisters and cousins.  Photos will never be a consolation for not having our loved one in our lives, but a photograph reminds our hearts of the emotions of the moments. I love you and want to capture you for all time.

Weddings...to me are like babies and puppies.  You see a beautiful one, and want one of your own!  I'm well past the stage of wanting to be married, however, last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing a young couple in love on their wedding day.  Everyone, including the guests, were absolutely gorgeous in their gowns & tuxes, dresses & suits.  Bride and groom made vows to love, honor and cherish through sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, til death do them part.  Love was in the air!  For the bride and groom, the wedding day goes by almost in a blur.  When it finally arrives after months and months of planning, there almost isn't enough time to fully enjoy it.  That's why it's so important to have a photographer capture those memories for you!  Regardless of your budget or even no budget, make sure you get pictures!  Even an out of focus picture will become special to you if it reflects the essence of your special moments.   Fifty years from now when Kate & Josh are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, I may not be here to celebrate with them, but when they reminisce over their pics, they surely will say what a great day it was & didn't we look good!  Congratulations Kate & Josh.  Best wishes for a very long & blessed life together!  To view all photo's visit their gallery at:  http://bit.ly/YPdhZO

Photo books are a great way to share your latest vacation, special occasions, or treasured family photos.  I put together this family album for an upcoming family reunion.  It contains pictures that span more than 60 years of my family's life.  With over 1,000 photo's to chose from, it was no easy task to select the best pictures representing our lives together.  It's sure to be a hit at the family reunion.  It's guaranteed to generate many stories from days gone by as the older generations recount their youth.  We'll share laughs over the 70's & 80's fashion styles and the 25 year old shorts Uncle Andy still owns. It will bring forth fond memories of family members no longer with us.  Most importantly, the love of family and bond that we share is reflected in the pages.

Photo books come in varying price ranges, sizes, & styles. They're relatively easy to make.  Have some fun, gather your photo's and make your own photo book today!
